In 2013 we took the opportunity of starting a new business to fundamentally redesign how an IT company should interact with its customers and partners. By implementing 'Design Thinking' into our business DNA we took an honest and transparent approach to Gridserve, demonstrating to customers that true partnership enabled both parties to flourish.
The customer knowledge gap, that often provides a 'way in' for IT companies, is treated very differently by Gridserve; we start by empowering the customer so that they know the questions to ask whilst fully understanding the requirements, from both short and long term perspectives. This approach allows our customers to more clearly compare offerings that will fulfill their needs, highlighting how different Gridserve is as a potential IT partner.
We’d spent many years working for IT companies where a focus on profit was paramount, our sales targets took precedent over the customer experience and ‘best in breed’ technology was sold, often when something far cheaper would have been adequate. We’d had enough.
